Research has been publishing books by Dr. Gislason since 1984. 1. Alpha Health Education Publications There are 17 books in this series. Alpha Health Education publications address the most important health issues and their solution. Everyone, who is interested in Nutritional Therapy, will need a copy of the Alpha Nutrition Program. The health education series of books developed gradually from lecture notes and other presentations. In the early 1980s, Dr. Gislason wrote pamphlets and instructional booklets for patients and colleagues. These gradually grew into book-sized volumes that were published. The first "Core Program" book was published in 1986 along with a book of Recipes. A book written for parents followed in 1989, The Core Diet For Kids and an associated book Core Program Cooking. In 1991 Dr. Gislason wrote "Nutritional Therapy, his survey of the theory and concepts behind his method of diet revision. In 1993 Nutritional Therapy Vol. 2 was published as a large format book that emphasized the practical instructions required to successfully solve health problems with diet revision. In 1998, the Core Program was transformed into the Alpha Nutrition Program. A series of texts acted as interfaces to the program, describing specific health concerns and were published under the banner of Alpha Nutrition Health Education. Dr. Gislason has continued to revise and expand these books into informative guides to common health problems. The books on specific topics such as skin disorders, digestive disorders, arthritis, asthma, chronic fatigue, celiac disease, are written to an intelligent reader who has an unusual interest and ability to learn and organize self-management. 2. Psychology and Neuroscience 3. Philosophy The Philosophy and Psychology Project was developed by Environmed Research as part of its educational publishing mandate. The writings of Stephen Gislason formed the core of the initial project. The foundation text, Existence and the Human Mind, was published in 2005. A series of excerpts and adaptations of topics in the “big book” was undertaken in 2006 with the goal of making the popular topics more accessible to potential readers.
