Learn More About Arterial Disease

Learn More About Hypertension

Over half of all diseases are self-inflicted. Major diseases originate from eating too much of the wrong food and damage is done to many organs simultaneously. We suggest that a prudent person suffering early  vascular dysfunction symptoms would be wise to pursue vigorous, thorough diet revision at the earliest opportunity.

Some Sobering Statistics

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the main cause of death in the industrialized world. More than 50% of men and almost 40% of women in the US will develop arterial disease that will shorten their life.  The incidence of major events – heart attacks and strokes increases sharply after age 50.  Smokers show signs of CVD sooner than nonsmokers and die 5 years earlier. After menopause, the incidence of heart attacks and strokes increases rapidly in women and heart attacks are the leading cause of female deaths.

Arteries are blood vessels. Blood vessels supply blood to the entire body and have a tree-like structure. Arterial disease interferes with every organ in the body. Catastrophic events such as heart attacks and strokes occur when blood flow through a major artery is obstructed. It usually takes several decades of disease progression to reach the crisis point. There is time and opportunity to avoid the catastrophe.

High Blood Pressure also relates to eating the wrong foods. Blood pressure rises with age, more in obese people and more in people with diabetes. High sodium intake causes high blood pressure and low sodium diets are recommended.

According to the Canadian Coalition for High Blood Pressure Prevention and Control, non-drug strategies should be the priority for hypertension control.

The Alpha Nutrition Program can be recommended, along with Alpha DMX, exercise and relaxation as a rational strategy of preventing and managing cardiovascular disease. The Alpha Nutrition Program is designed to reduce cholesterol, total fat, saturated fats, while increasing vegetable fiber—all desirable measures in the effort to prevent blood vessel diseases, heart attacks and strokes.

Imagine that you live in a little cottage by the sea, think quiet thoughts, walk everywhere, tend your organic vegetable garden, cultivate fruit trees (never sprayed), and go fishing once or twice per week. Now you have a perfect setting and a perfect diet for enduring good health.
